This Privacy Policy describes how The Uptime Expert (operated by Vioneapp LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit theuptimeexpert.com or use the tools and forms on the site.
We've tried to write this in plain English. If something here isn't clear, contact us at the address at the bottom of this page.
Who we are
The Uptime Expert is a publication of Vioneapp LLC, registered at 1021 E Lincolnway, Suite 9244, Cheyenne, WY 82001, United States. We are the controller of any personal data collected through this site.
What we collect
We collect three types of information.
Information you give us directly. When you fill out a form on the site (partner match form, contact form, newsletter signup), we collect what you submit. That typically includes your email address, company name, project type, region, and any free-text description you provide. We don't ask for or store information we don't need to respond to your inquiry.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider (Lovable) collects basic analytics about your visit. This includes the page you visited, the date and time, your approximate location (derived from IP address, usually to the city level), the type of device and browser you used, and the page that referred you to us. We use this information to understand which content is being read and which tools are being used. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from this data.
Information from cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookie Policy for details.
What we don't collect
We don't ask for your real name unless you give it to us. We don't ask for phone numbers. We don't collect payment information because we don't sell anything directly. We don't run third-party advertising cookies or pixels. We don't operate a customer login or user account system, so we have no password data to lose.
How we use the information
We use the information you give us to respond to your inquiry, match you with a relevant partner from our network, and (if you've opted in) send you periodic newsletter analysis. We use the automatic analytics data to understand usage patterns and improve the site.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent your email address. We do not share your information with advertisers.
When we share information
We share information in three limited circumstances.
With service providers we use to operate the site. Currently this includes Lovable (hosting and basic analytics) and, when applicable, Sanity (content management). These providers process data on our behalf under contracts that require them to protect the information.
With vetted partners, when you request an introduction. If you submit the partner match form, we share the information you provided with the partner we believe is the best fit for your project. We only share what's necessary to make that introduction. The partner becomes an independent controller of any data you subsequently share with them.
When required by law. If we receive a valid legal request from a court or government agency, we may disclose information to comply.
How long we keep information
We retain partner match inquiries for up to 24 months after the inquiry, to support follow-up and account for typical migration project timelines. Newsletter subscribers are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per our hosting provider's defaults.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data.
If you are in the United States. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what information we have, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any sale (we don't sell information, but we say so here for completeness). Residents of other US states with comparable laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and others) have similar rights.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. You have rights under the GDPR including access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing. The legal basis for our processing is your consent (for newsletter and form submissions) and our legitimate interest in operating the site (for analytics).
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address at the bottom of this page. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect information we collect. That said, no internet transmission is fully secure. If you have reason to believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately.
Children
The Uptime Expert is a business publication for professionals. The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to newsletter subscribers by email.
